We hope everyone has been enjoying the summer & trust that some good books have been read. In the previous edition of this newsletter we mentioned The Twilight World by Werner Herzog. Having included it as part of the highly exclusive list of bookseller’s summer holiday reading material we are pleased to report that it very much lives up to initial promise – an extraordinary story. Also immensely enjoyed while on holiday were After Sappho, by Selby Wynn Schwartz (on this year’s excellent Booker Prize longlist) and Edith and Kim by Bristol’s own Charlotte Philby.
