| We’ve each chosen the ten books that most stayed with us. Joe and Tom have chosen exclusively from books published in hardback or paperback in 2024 (or in one sneaky instance, late 2023) while Libby and Helen have chosen from a wider pool.
We read a lot over the course of twelve months, so while ten books seems like quite a high number, it’s still an agonising practice to whittle away books we’ve really loved. There’s a mix here of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, a breadth of subjects and genres. We’ve tried to cater to different kinds of readers, so there will hopefully be something for everyone in these lists, but the one essential thing these books all have in common is that we really freaking love them. |
