We had a wonderful time listening to Santanu Bhattacharya discussing his debut novel 'One Small Voice' with our good friend Heather Marks last night. The shop glowing in the early evening darkness after a long and gloriously busy World Book Day. Many tokens exchanged and books chosen. Much excitement all round. 📚 Book recommendations 📚 One of the things we love about bookselling in this neighborhood is the interest our customers have for writing about the natural world. Our second event of the year features another fantastic debut author. On Friday, March 10th we'll be welcoming Santanu Bhattacharya to the shop to discuss his novel 'One Small Voice'. It may only be early February but there are already some absolutely stonking new releases out in the world. Our window is flush with exciting new reading, including new novels from Salman Rushdie and Bristol's very own @emilykochwriter We're starting our literary events programme for the year with @dizztate talking to our own Joe Melia on February 10th at 7pm in the shop. Done! The booksellers are all wrapped and tied up in pretty ribbons. The books (those few who remain) are tucked in for some peace and quiet. We've eaten our body weights in mince pies and satsumas, and that was just to get us to this point. It's best to be honest about these things.
